Edward T. Morgan, Ph.D.
Professor
Eddie Morgan was born in Millport, Isle of Cumbrae, Scotland. He received a B.Sc. (Honours) in Pharmacology from the University of Glasgow in 1976, and a Ph.D. in Pharmacology from the University of Glasgow in 1979. His dissertation (advisors Garth Powis and Paul Skett) was on the “ Effects of ethanol on hepatic microsomal drug metabolism”. He was a Postdoctoral Fellow with Minor J Coon at the University of Michigan from 1979-82, and a Visiting Scientist Scholar with Jan-Ake Gustafsson at the Karolinska Institute from 1982-86. He has been a faculty member at Emory since 1986, and is currently the President-Elect of ASPET

Choon-Myung Lee, PhD
Research Associate
Choon-Myung Lee is the senior member of the lab, having joined in 2004 as a Postdoctoral Fellow. Choon heads the project on regulation of P450 protein degradation by nitric oxide. He earned his BS and MS degrees in Agricultural Chemistry from Chonnam University in South Korea. After moving to the US, he obtained his doctorate in Plant Biology from the University of Georgia, where his dissertation focused on the functional characterization a novel plant gene IAA17/AXR3 and its downstream targets. He is a member of ASPET.
Ji Won Park, PhD
Postdoctoral Fellow
Ji Won Park, PhD is a Postdoctoral Fellow who came to the lab in 2015. She earned BS and MS degrees in Genetic Engineering at Kyungpook National University in Daegu, Korea. She moved to Louisiana State University Health Sciences Center, first working as a Research Associate and then enrolling in the Pharmacology doctoral program. In the laboratory of Dr. Wayne Backes, she studied the structural basis of P450 enzyme targeting to microdomains of the endoplasmic reticulum. She is a member of ASPET.
